Mike Zeck is a comic book artist, best known for his work on Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars, Captain America, "Spider-Man: Kraven's Last Hunt", Deathstroke the Terminator, The Punisher, and Master of Kung Fu.
Zeck began working in comics in 1974, providing illustration for Charlton Comics' animated line of comics. This led to him providing covers and story work on their horror comics.
In 1977, Zeck began working for Marvel Comics, under editor Jim Shooter, with Master of Kung Fu; first providing fill-in work, then taking over monthly duties in 1978. In 1981, he began a three-year run on Captain America until he left to draw the famed Marvel mini-series, Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars (written by Shooter and inked by John Beatty) for nine of its twelve issues. During his stay with Marvel, Zeck provided art for many pivotal Marvel works, including The Punisher, G.I. Joe, and the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe. His artwork also appears in The Spectacular Spider-Man, The Defenders, Solarman, Power Man and Iron Fist, Marvel Tales, The Savage Sword of Conan, and, what is considered to be a quintessential Spider-Man storyline, "Spider-Man: Kraven's Last Hunt" with his Captain America collaborator, J.M. DeMatteis.
Zeck has also drawn for DC Comics, as well, including Deathstroke the Terminator, Batman, Legends of the DC Universe, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, and collaborated with Mark Waid on the Kingdom Come sequel, The Kingdom.
