2021 Crew Application

The NYCC Crew Team is responsible for supporting several areas of the event, while providing excellent fan service to ensure a great experience for everyone attending NYCC.

As part of the Crew Team, you can:

- Meet and Interact with fans who share your fandoms and excitement

- Gain access to an entire community of other crew members who share your passions, while also gaining industry experience to add to your resume

- Get paid for your time on the clock

- Get a free, exclusive NYCC Crew T-shirt

- Receive free admission for you to enjoy the show during your time off the clock!

How the process works:

1) Fill out the interest form - fill out the crew team interest form below and tell us why you'd make an awesome Crew Member at NYCC 2021!

2) Interest form is reviewed - The NYCC Crew Admin Team will review your interest form. If you’re selected to work the show as Crew, we'll invite you to confirm your commitment and submit your final schedule availability. Please allow 4-6 weeks to be notified if an opportunity on the Crew Team is available.

3) Get shifts! – If you’re selected, you'll be assigned your schedule and given additional instructions about 3 weeks prior to NYCC to prepare you for working on the Crew Team!

I understand this is a paid, temporary position and I can have my position relinquished if I behave in an inappropriate manner before or during NYCC, or fail to complete my assignments.

When working as part of 20201 NYCC's Crew Team, I represent NYCC and Reedpop. As such, I will behave in a professional and appropriate manner when interacting with fellow Crew and Staff members, guests, vendors, exhibitors, and most importantly fans.

If accepted to the NYCC Crew Team, I will prepare for my role and read important updates from the Crew Team managers.

I understand that NYCC runs from Thursday, October 7th through Sunday, October 10th with an orientation day on Wednesday October 6th, and that some shifts begin as early as 8 AM. I confirm that I am eligible and available to work any and all event days, for a minimum of 4 hours per day. If my schedule changes or I become unavailable to work, I will promptly change my availability. Failure to update my availability may forfeit a role on the team, or scheduled shifts.

Previous Convention and Fan Service Experience:
Area Leads.

Each area of NYCC has an Area Lead that oversees operation of the crew in a specific area. The Area Lead acts as the Point of Contact for the Crew Manager and our Staff. Area Lead positions are in high demand so applicants chosen usually have had years of previous experience in this field.
I acknowledge that my crew application will be reviewed by ReedPop staff and consultants. ReedPop would like to keep you informed about related events and services. If you do not wish to receive such information or to change your communication preferences visit privacy.reedexpo.com at any time.
