Rated G :: Girl in a Well is set at the stronghold of Fort Hingham, a fortified settlement that stands guard at the mouth of a valley surrounded by impassible mountains. The valley is home to a dismal swamp full of dangerous creatures, and its hills and mountains are riddled with caves leading deep into the earth. In the past, Fort Hingham has fended off incursions from marsh-dwelling lizardfolk and kobolds, and even an occasional giant or troll wandering down from the mountains in search of food.
