Rated PG-13 :: Tales of the Obsidian Idol is a fantasy-adventure tabletop roleplaying game in which the players work together to create an exciting story of magic, monsters, and mayhem. Play warriors, wizards, rogues and more as they battle evil, explore dangerous dungeons, and save the village from imminent destruction (or worse!) The game uses the popular “Powered by the Apocalypse” system found in games like Apocalypse World, Dungeon World, Monster of the Week, Monsterhearts, Masks, Urban Shadows, and many others. Character creation and rules are simple, fast, and easy to learn. Players have a hand in not only creating the characters they play, but the world and adventure that they engage in. Focused on player empowerment and improvisation, the system is great introduction for newcomers to tabletop rpgs, and will give veteran roleplayers a chance to experience a fresh take on the hobby!
