Author/Writer, Editor, Poet, Reviewer/Critic, VCON Guest of Honour/Special Guest

Amal El-Mohtar is an award-winning writer and editor based in Ontario and Glasgow. She has published short fiction, poetry, essays, reviews, and criticism; edits the fantastic poetry quarterly magazine Goblin Fruit; and reviews science fiction and fantasy books for the New York Times Book Review. She has worked as a creative writing instructor at Carleton University and the University of Ottawa.
