Peter Bagge – the alternative comics creator and frequent MAD Magazine contributor, is known for Hate magazine's Buddy Bradly stories, and his earlier work in Neat Stuff, which frequently featured Buddy's family, the Bradleys. Inspired by Robert Crumb and early undergound, Peter co wrote "Comical Funnies" in 1980-81 and "Martini Baton" while editing Crumb's Wierdo magazine. He wrote Neat Stuff from 1985 to 89 and Hate from 1990 to 2011. Peter’s Graphic Novels occupy his time now, with 2013’s Woman Rebel: The Margaret Sanger Story, the comic biography about the woman who founded Planned Parenthood, and Peter’s latest Graphic Novel, Fire!!: the Zora Neale Hurston Story, was a finalist for Denver Pop Culture Con’s and Pop Culture Classroom’s Excellence in Graphic Literature Awards in 2018.
