Kevin Burns is an American television and film producer, director, and screenwriter. His work can be seen on A&E, National Geographic Channel, E!, Animal Planet, AMC, Bravo, WE tv, Travel Channel, Lifetime, and The History Channel.
Although he began his career as a freelance commercial artist, Burns eventually went to film school in Boston where he earned a Master’s degree in film and continued to teach and produce his own films until 1988, when he made the move to Los Angeles. He has founded and co-founded many production units over the years, including Foxstar, Van Ness Films; and Synthesis Entertainment, which focuses on fostering interest in the properties of acclaimed producer and creator Irwin Allen (LOST IN SPACE).
Burns specializes in documentaries and won an Emmy Award for his executive production of the long-running A&E series BIOGRAPHY. He has been the Executive Producer of ANCIENT ALIENS since its debut in 2009.
