James Tynion IV has been writing for the Batman franchise for years, most recently on DC’s Detective Comics and Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for guest publisher IDW – a title that will play an important part in this year’s festivities! James is also the creator for The Backstagers, a Boom! Studios comic that breaks the mold of straight superhero dudes with adventures of diverse races and sexual orientations. For the Bat-books, Tynion has excited long-time fans by reintroducing classic characters into current cotinuity including Cassandra Cain and Azrael with Batman & Robin Eternal, and Hush and Vicki Vale with Batman Eternal. His other works include Red Hood and the Outlaws, and Constantine: The Hellblazer.
