Naomi Novik

NAOMI NOVIK is the Nebula-award winning author of Uprooted, a fantasy influenced by the Polish fairy tales of her childhood, and of the Temeraire series. Her latest novel is Spinning Silver, called by The New York Times Book Review, “a fresh and imaginative retelling of the Rumpelstiltskin… a very enjoyable fantasy with the air of a modern classic".

The book won’t be officially released until later in the Summer, but Del Rey books will be on hand to give away a limited number of advance reading copies for her to sign throughout the DCC weekend. Get to her signings early so you can read the newest book months before the rest of the country! Naomi is a founder of the Organization for Transformative Works and the Archive of Our Own. She studied English literature at Brown University, and did graduate work in computer science at Columbia University before leaving to participate in the design and development of the computer game Neverwinter Nights: Shadow of Undrentide.
