Dino Stamatopoulos is a writer, actor, producer and director best known for his work on Community (writer, producer and starring as Star Burns), High School U.S.A. (creator, writer, producer and voices of Mr. Merriwether and Marsh’s Dad), Morel Orel (creator, writer, producer, director and voices of Principal Fakey and Billy Figurelli), Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole (creator, writer, producer and voices of The Mummy, Death, and Mother Teresa), The Drinky Crow Show (voice of Drinky Crow), Mad TV (writer, producer), Late Night with Conan O’Brien (writer), Mr. Show with Bob and David (writer, producer), and Late Show with David Letterman (writer). Dino Stamatopoulos and Dan Harmon’s company Starburns Industries is the production home of Rick and Morty.

Dino’s other writing credits include: Important Things with Demetri Martin, Tom Goes to the Mayor, TV Funhouse, Lucky Louie, The Dana Carvey Show, Saturday Night Live and The Ben Stiller Show.

Dino Stamatopoulos and Dan Harmon are founding partners at Starburns Industries, a groundbreaking, independent studio launched in the Summer of 2010 with Joe Russo II (“The Simpsons,” “Rugrats”), and James A. Fino (“King of the Hill”). The company’s first big job was a stop-motion animated special for “Community,” called “Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas”, which garnered an Emmy for Outstanding Animation. They have since worked on the acclaimed animated special for Community called “GI Jeff” and Charlie Kaufman’s first animated feature, “Anomalisa”.

In addition to being the production home of Adult Swim’s “Rick and Morty”, Starburns Industries also produced a special episode of “Moral Orel” as well as Season Two of Adult Swim’s “Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole” The exploding studio has several other animated and live-action projects in production and development for film, TV and new media.”
