Marguerite Bennett

Despite being a relative newcomer to the comics scene, Marguerite Bennet has been prolific since her first story in Batman Annual #2 (2013). After that, she quickly moved on to write for DC Comics the New 52 Batgirl, and became a regular writer for Earth 2: World’s End, and DC Comics Bombshells. At the same time, she has penned for Marvel Years of Future Past, A-Force, and Angela: Queen of Hel, but it is her creator-owned stories and work for independent comics companies has been particularly impressive. In addition to Red Sonja for Dynamite and Josie and the Pussycats for Archie, you should pick up Marguerite’s Animosity and InSEXts at the Aftershock booth at DCC… but only if you want your mind blown! Her representation of LGBTQ stories and characters has earned her nominations for GLAAD Media Awards in 2016 and 2017.
