About the Comic Con Palm Springs - 2018

Presented by Agua Caliente Spa Resort Casino - CCPS PSIAF has brought together some of the most passionate and talented people from the world of comic books and entertainment to produce an exciting new Comics in one of the most famous and fun cities in the world. We've spent years working, observing, and listening to what people want and sought from their Comics Experiences. Not only working with talent and exhibitors, but also being passionate fans ourselves, we wanted to apply all the great ideas and suggestions everyone had - your and ours together. Each year we plan to make Palm Springs something special.

You’re here to have fun. We’re here to make it possible for you to have that fun. For all that to happen, CCPS/PSIAF has a few policies that are necessary for the safety and comfort of everyone. Please comply so that you and everyone else can enjoy the convention. These policies were updated on 2/27, 2018 and are specifically for CCPS PSIAF. Please check back for updates as we get closer to the event. Airspace (Balloons, Drones, etc.) No devices may be flown or tethered within the confines of the Exhibit Hall or at any Con function in the Venue or grounds. This includes drones, helium balloons and helium-filled products, or any lighter-than- air objects either powered or unpowered. Code of Conduct Attendees must respect commonsense rules for public behavior, personal interaction, common courtesy, and respect for private property. Harassing or offensive behavior will not be tolerated. Event reserves the right to revoke, without refund, the membership and badge of any attendee not in compliance with this policy. Persons finding themselves in a situation where they feel their safety is at risk or who become aware of an attendee not in compliance with this policy should immediately locate the nearest member of security, staff member or volunteer, so that the matter can be handled in an expeditious manner. If you have any questions or concerns please stop by the East or West Information Desks of the venue. During show hours you can always find a venue staff member who can assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. Bag Policy All back backs, handbags or bags of any kind must be inspected prior to entering the Con by security each day. Please know that CCPS PSIAF events are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Costume Props Policy For the safety of all attendees no props that could be used as a weapon or simulated firearms of any kind are allowed at Con.

 All props must be inspected and tagged prior to entering the Con each day

 Costume swords must not be made of material that could be used as a weapon and must be tied to your costume in such a way that they cannot be drawn

 Costumes featuring stilts must be approved by security prior to entrance At certain times, due to crowds and safety issues, people in oversized costumes may be

asked to leave the Exhibit Hall.

Approval of props is at the sole discretion of CCPS PSIAF and the Palm Springs Police Department If you do not want to have your costume props inspected or tagged, or if you are not willing to comply with these policies, please do not bring your costume props to event. All costume props must be inspected prior to entering the Con.

No Handouts

No handing out of anything—including flyers, stickers, cards, or any promotional item—is allowed in any area inside or outside the Venue, except from within a booth in the Exhibit Hall unless pre-approved by CCPS PSIAF.No Hover Boards. By order of the Fire Marshal, hover boards are not allowed at Con, including all inside or outside areas of the Venue, and additional venues featuring Con events.

No Handcarts, Trolleys, Rolling Luggage, or Oversized Strollers in the Exhibit Hall Please be aware that, for safety reasons, no handcarts, trolleys, rolling luggage, or oversized strollers are allowed in the Exhibit Hall. Attendees found on the exhibit floor with these items will be asked to leave the Exhibit Hall. No Live Streaming of Any Program or Event in Any Programming Room at Con. The usage of live streaming apps and software on any electronic device (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.) is not allowed in any official Con program and event rooms, both onsite at the venue and in other Con venues. No Market Research at event as event does not allow market research, surveys, or information-gathering in any public area—indoors or outdoors—of the venue, or any other venue featuring Con events

No Paging

Please keep in mind that there will be no personal pages over the P.A. system. Set a time and place to meet with your family and friends and communicate with them via text or phone when necessary. Lost or Missing Children, should you lose a child or need to report a missing parent contact a staff, volunteer, security guard or venue staff immediately

No Pets Allowed

If you have pets, including iguanas, parrots, boa constrictors, or other nonhuman critters, please leave them at home. The venue will not allow animals into the building except for service animals. If your service animal is not wearing any kind of ID identifying them as a service animal, you may be stopped by security. To obtain your service animal ID, please check in at registration. Any service animals that cause a disturbance will be asked to leave Con.No Selfie Sticks or Similar Devices at Comic Con Selfie sticks, GoPro poles, stilts, or any device that extends your camera or phone away from your hand or body are not allowed at Con. If you’re seen with one of these devices, you will be asked by security to put it away and not use it at Con. This includes all of the Venue program and rooms. No Sitting in Exhibit Hall Aisles By order of the fire marshal, sitting in the Exhibit Hall aisles is not allowed. No Smoking, Including E-cigarettes and Vaping Products and Devices No smoking is allowed at any Con event at any time and in any location. No smoking at Con includes traditional cigarettes, pipes, cigars, or E-cigarettes and any vaping product or device. This policy includes the Exhibit Hall, all the Programming rooms, and event spaces at venues. You are welcome to step outside the venue. This policy is in place not only for the comfort of attendees but also to comply with Palm Springs city ordinances prohibiting smoking at public events near any doorway, entrance, exit, or operable window. Please comply with this policy; noncompliance may result in ejection from the convention. No Strollers Allowed in the Programming Rooms By order of the fire marshal, strollers are not allowed in any of the programming rooms. Event reserves the right to change or modify any policy or rule at any time and without notice.
