Media and Press Application
Media Terms and Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in press credentials
for Huntington Comic & Toy Convention. Please read the following
information BEFORE completing your application.
- Due to space restrictions this
year, we will only approve TWO badges per media outlet for traditional
media and ONE badge for digital media. Traditional media includes
local newspapers, national newspapers, college newspapers, magazines, AM
radio, FM radio, and local television. To be approved as a digital
media, the following guidelines must be met. You must have a website
that posts content weekly. You must have 2 social media pages for
that website such as Facebook, YouTube, Tumbler, or Twitter. One of
those platforms must have more than 20,000 followers. If you feel
you must have more staff to adequately cover our event, you must purchase
the needed amount of tickets.
- Your badges are good for the
entire weekend, for any event with exception of special ticketed
events. Press badges will NOT give you access to any event that
comes at an added cost. If you are interested in attending a special
ticket event, you should purchase those tickets on our website.
- We do NOT set up pre-convention
interviews with guests if you are non-traditional or digital media.
That is your responsibility. We also will not provide contact
information for our guests.
- Please make sure you report
accurately. If you are doing pre-convention write-ups, please make
sure your dates, times, and costs are accurate. For anyone who isn't
sure, our convention's name is HUNTINGTON COMIC & TOY
- Badges do NOT guarantee
interviews, photos of or with celebrities, or autographs. Please ask
before taking photographs or videos of ANYONE. These badges are for
professionals. We expect you to conduct yourself as such.
- If for any reason we feel your
behavior does not meet our guidelines and expectations, your badges will
be forfeited, all privileges will be lost, and you will be removed from
