Seth Gilliam is best known for his roles as Father Gabriel Stokes in The Walking Dead, Sugar
Watkins in Starship Troopers, and Sgt. Ellis Carver in The Wire. He has also played roles in
Teen Wolf, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and The People v. Leo Frank. Gilliam has also
played several roles on stage, including Prince Edward in Richard III, Antony in Antony and
Cleopatra, and as the title character in Othello. He prefers stage acting due to the direct
connection and communication with the audience, but still enjoys acting on tv and in films.
