Skye Hilton

Skye Hilton began studying HEMA in 2014 under Steaphen Fick, focusing on various Medieval and Renaissance martial arts and weapons. In this time, she also traveled to other sword schools throughout California and neighboring states to study and compete. In 201, she became certified as a long sword instructor through HEMAA and continued to study, compete, and instruct internationally.

Skye competed in History Channel’s Forged in Fire Knife or Death Show in August of 2018 and then returned for Bladesgiving Special in November of the same year. She is Master Personal Trainer specializing in correctional movement, exercises, flexibility, and bio-mechanical functionality, and currently owns and operates her own gym and fencing salle in Midland, Tx.
Skye has made a mission of making fencing and blade arts accessible to as many as possible with classes for young and old, such as her Silver Saber fencing class for seniors. She also developed her own self defense class, which focuses on survival and escape with the use of a knife. Having been a victim of abuse herself, the class focuses on escape and survival and tackles hard truths of defending yourself, especially when it is someone you may know.

Skye continues to travel, instruct and study with other HEMA practitioners as often as possible to continue to grow her own skill and knowledge base for herself and her students.
