J. M. DeMatteis is a comic book, novel, and television writer known for his legendary work on JLA and JLI which introduced a level of humor that reignited the series in the 1980's. At Marvel Comics, he helped to shape a the team dynamic in THE DEFENDERS and wrote one of the most lasting Spider-Man stories in KRAVEN'S LAST HUNT. Among his many acclaimed works are writing for the Spectre, WONDER WOMAN, FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE JUSTICE LEAGUE, DEFENDERS: DISASSEMBLED, MISTER MIRACLE, JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK as well as script writing for JUSTICE LEAGUE: UNLIMITED, TEEN TITANS, GO!, BATMAN: BRAVE AND THE BOLD, and many others.
