Robert Sawyer

HawaiiCon Guest of Honor Robert J. Sawyer is one of only eight writers in history (and the only Canadian!) to win all three of the world's top Science Fiction awards for best novel of the year: the Hugo, the Nebula, and the John W. Campbell Memorial Award. According to Locus, Rob is the all-time worldwide leader in number of award wins as a science fiction or fantasy novelist. His twenty-three novels include Red Planet Blues, The Terminal Experiment, Mindscan, Hominids, Triggers, Calculating God, and the triple-Aurora-winning "WWW" trilogy of Wake, Watch, and Wonder. Nineteen of Rob's bestselling novels have been optioned for film or television production including FlashForward, which was made into a 22-episode series for ABC. Beyond the published word, he has written for ABC, the CBC, CTV, Copperheart, Harmony Gold, Nelvana, Shaftesbury, and gaming giant Ubisoft, among others. He also wrote the series-finale episode for Star Trek Continues, and he is past president of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
