Jason Narvy

Dr. Jason Andrew Narvy is an accomplished film and stage actor from Los Angeles, CA. He is best known for his role as the skinny derelict, Eugene “Skull” Skullovitch in over 300 episodes of Fox Television’s Emmy-nominated Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers as well as 40 episodes as the voice of “Chopper” on Fox’s Masked Rider. While under contract with Fox, Jason also filmed two feature films, Power Rangers The Movie and Power Rangers: Turbo, as well as executing leading roles in two Fox/Family pilots and more video games, tie ins, and Public Service Announcements than he cares to remember.

On stage, Narvy is a frequent contributor to numerous theater companies, including Chicago’s Saltbox Theater Collective, The Chicago Dramatists, Babes with Blades and the Piven Theater. In NYC he’s worked with Dutch Kills Theater Co. and the Human Head Performance Group. In California his experience includes the Bigger Louder Fast Shakespeare and countless local productions spanning 25 years.

His most recent roles include Capt. Charles McVay II in the Jeff Award Winning play In the Soundless Awe (Chicago and Indianapolis Productions), the title role in Macbeth for Saltbox Theater Company (summer 2019), Obfuscation 2.0 for the New Orleans Infringe Festival, and as Bela Lugosi in the cast recording for the upcoming musical Pink Angora Sweater. His work with ISA lead to a collaboration with the USS Indianapolis Survivor’s Reunion, for which Narvy was honored to serve as the keynote speaker in 2018.

In recent years, he has turned his attention to directing and to the academic instruction of acting, earning a Masters of Letters in directing for Shakespearean performance with the American Shakespeare Center and a PhD with University of California at Santa Barbara. He now serves as the chair for the Department of Theater, Concordia University Chicago.
