The Cosplayin’ Yogis’ mission is to bring yoga to weebs and geeks of all shapes and sizes while teaching how yoga, movement, breath, and meditation are important to self-care and well-being. We believe yoga is accessible for ALL bodies and ages and strive to use cosplay to make classes engaging, educational, and fun!

We have been teaching yoga at conventions since 2016. Starting off at Katsucon, we have also taught at conventions to include Otakon, AwesomeCon, Anime Weekend Atlanta, & Colossalcon. Our team's yoga instructors are Sean and Rift. Our creative team is rounded out with Ginger & Michi. With our cosplays combined we become...The Cosplayin’ Yogis!

Your Instructor Sean's bio:

Since getting his adult & kids yoga certification in 2011, Sean has been teaching yoga ever since! Sean loves to make people laugh and smile in class while offering personalized challenges and modifications. Ashtanga Yoga is Sean’s main yoga style of choice and loves being silly in kids yoga classes. His personal practice started in college when he discovered yoga in one of his acting/theatre classes. Favorite anime include Naruto, SAO, Voltron, & recently Ouran Host Club. Sean's favorite yoga pose is Bakasana & Savasana!

Over the last 10 years Sean has taught yoga in many different venues including Baseball Parks, multiple DC Metro Yoga Week, Early Childhood Centers, Wineries & Breweries, Public Community Events, Libraries, Elementary & High Schools, National Parks, VA Yoga Week, Sports Teams, Conventions of all kinds, and in many yoga studios.

Sean has been an active member of the LGBTQ community since coming out back in 2001. His classes and personal attitude are all about welcoming everyone for who they are! Sean co-founded 'We Thr3e Queens Production Company' during the pandemic to create a platform and space for LGBTQ performers to create content virtually. We also created educational segments including the history behind Stonewall, an interview with Dr. Anthony Fauci about HIV/Aids, and Drag Queen Storytime featuring LGBTQ-centered children's books.
