Spencer is best known for his 2016 physical portrayal of Darth Vader in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He has also appeared in Victor Frankenstein as Nathaniel/Prometheus, Guardians of the Galaxy as the Mean Guard, THE LEGEND OF HERCULES as Humbaba, Wrath of the Titans as the Minotaur, Ghost Rider 2: The Spirit Of Vengeance as Grannik, and Beowulf & Grendel as Grendel's father, as well as Batman Begins and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. On television, Spencer played a White Walker on Game of Thrones, Skaldak on Doctor Who, and Doros on Atlantis.

Most recently, he appeared in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw as Eteon's Uber Merc and Men in Black: International as Luca Brasi.
