A graduate of Sheridan’s Classical Animation program Steven has worked for Walt Disney Animation Studios, Nelvana Enterprises and the National Film Board of Canada on such shows as Beauty and the Beast: the Enchanted Christmas, 7 Little Monsters, Anatole, Babar, Blaster's Universe, Cardcaptor Sakura, Corduroy, Flying Rhino Junior High, Franklin, George & Martha, George Shrinks, Little Bear, Marvin the Tap Dancing Horse, Maggie and the Ferocious Beast, Mythic Warriors, Ned's Newt, Red Wall, Rescue Heroes and Tales From the Cryptkeeper (#thisismychildhood).

Also a spec script writer Steven co-founded Uberriff Films where he went on to produce, write and direct short films Hope, When Life Sucks Get a Helmet!, the Agoraphope and Frankie! Is, Not a Man. In 2001, Steven founded his own company Codesyne Inc. and developed a modular CMS platform called ModuleBlocks with Lone Wolf Technologies founder Lorne Wallace. Configuring an online ecommerce solution specifically for artists and support services such as content building, graphic design, SEO / social networking, printing and supplier network, convention partnerships and more, with the input of comic book influencers like Bob McLeod (bobmcleod.com), Joe Rubinstein (joerubinsteinart.com), James C. Mulligan (jamescmulligan.com) and Chad Hardin (chadhardinart.com) to name a few called MBartist.
