Jon Jashni

Jon Jashni is a media investor and content producer who recently founded Raintree Ventures, an investment and incubation fund operating in the entertainment space.

Just prior to establishing Raintree, Jashni was President and Chief Creative Officer of Legendary Entertainment. He joined the company in January 2006 and, over the ten years that followed, was integrally involved in evolving the company from a film-financing entity into a leading, diversified, multi-platform media company. Comprised of film (Legendary Pictures), television and digital (Legendary Television and Digital Media) and comics (Legendary Comics) divisions, the company is dedicated to owning, producing and delivering content to mainstream audiences with a targeted focus on the powerful fandom demographic.

Jashni recently drove Legendary’s acquisition of the Irwin Allen Estate Library (e.g. Lost in Space, The Time Tunnel, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Land of the Giants, The Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno), an entity which he controlled with partner Kevin Burns via their company Synthesis. Netflix just ordered a full season of a reimagined Lost in Space from Synthesis and Legendary Television for Q1 2018 release.
