Dan Fraga honed his artistic skills by storyboarding for commercials and music videos. His diverse work included spots for Hershey’s, Lee Jeans, Mentos, Victoria’s Secret, Ford Motors and music videos for top artists Justin Timberlake, Usher, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Jamiroquai, and T.I. to name a few. Not content to limit his contributions to boarding alone, Dan frequently expanded his responsibilities to include set design, visual effects supervision and 2nd unit directing.
Dan next applied his cinematic eye and keen sense of timing to storyboarding on feature films such as TRANSPORTER 2 , FANTASTIC 4:The rise of the silver Surfer, DRAGONBALL, and THE FIGHTER.
Dan made his directing debut in 2009 on the MTV show The Hard Times of RJ Berger, designing, storyboarding, directing, and producing 24 animated segments, each in a different animation style. The RJ Berger pieces clearly showcased the breadth and depth of Dan’s visual and storytelling capabilities. Dan’s work caught the attention of the producers on The Ricky Gervais Show, who hired him to direct their second and third seasons of the show which can be seen on HBO.
Dan’s passion for storytelling extends to the comic book world as well. Dan started as a comic book artist for Image, Marvel and DC Comics. He’s worked on many of the industry’s top titles including The X-Men, Spider-Man, Superman, Wolverine, and The Power Puff Girls.
