J.M. DeMatteis

Eisner Award winner J. M. DeMatteis was a professional musician and rock music journalist before launching a long career writing novels, television, film and, of course, comic books. He has written a variety of memorable projects, from the epic drama of "Kraven's Last Hunt" to the comedy-adventure of DC's Justice League. His greatest acclaim has come for original graphic novels – like the autobiographical Brooklyn Dreams and the groundbreaking Moonshadow – and the children's fantasy novels Abadazad and Imaginalis. Current projects include DC's Scooby Apocalypse; IDW's upcoming Impossible, Inc.; episodes of Marvel's Spider-Man; his Imagination 101 writing workshops; and Creation Point, a story consultation service.
