Mike Colter has steadily worked on both small and big screen projects since 2002. His highest profile role came in 2015 as Marvel’s Luke Cage in the lauded Netflix series Jessica Jones, starring Krysten Ritter, which led to the self-titled Luke Cage spinoff in 2016. The highly anticipated Netflix follow up, The Defenders, brings Luke Cage and Jessica Jones together again later this year, alongside Daredevil and Iron Fist.

Colter’s earliest screen work was in The Parkers starring Mo’Nique in 2002 followed by the long running NBC series ER. From there, Colter landed a feature role in the Academy Award winning Clint Eastwood production, Million Dollar Baby. Subsequent roles included television and film appearances with Men In Black 3 and Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty among them, both released in 2012. In 2013, Colter joined the cast of the popular FX anthology series American Horror Story and was cast as Agent Locke in the Xbox One series Halo: Nightfall, reprising the role in 2015’s Halo 5: Guardians.
