Rex Brown might be best known as the virtuoso bassist for Pantera, one of metal's most important bands, but this hard-rocking legend has played with everyone from country outlaw David Allan Coe to Alice in Chains guitar hero Jerry Cantrell. Rex joined Pantera in 1982, and over the course of several Grammy-nominated albums, Rex's muscular bass lines anchored Pantera as they changed the face of metal. He's also worked with Down, Crowbar, Cavalera Conspiracy, Arms of the Sun and Kill Devil Hill. Rex recently wrote a memoir, Official Truth, 101 Proof: The Inside Story of Pantera.
