Jenel Stevens

Jénel Stevens is a SAG-AFTRA stunt performer with an extensive sport, martial arts
and fitness background. In addition to becoming a Certified Strength and
Conditioning Specialist a decade ago, Jenel has been an athlete as long as she can
remember. Among many sports, she played Division I basketball and finished her
Canisius College career with noteworthy honors. These include an induction into the
conference’s MAAC Basketball Hall of Fame as well as the Canisius College Sports
Hall of Fame for her outstanding collegiate career. Her jersey is displayed in the
Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA.

Her former personal training career has kept her in shape and knowledgeable on
the capabilities of her own body, and through her business, dozens of Jénel's clients
have succeeded in meeting their fitness goals. This includes her celebrity clientele,
such as Simone Missick, who she also doubles on the show Luke Cage.
At her martial arts school, Anderson’s Martial Arts Academy (AMAA), Jénel
studies various disciplines under Sifu Dan Anderson. She is a third degree Black Belt
in Jeet Kune Do, Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, White Glove in Savate, Level 9
practitioner in Balintawak and a Kru in Muay Thai. She is also an undefeated New
York State WKA Lightweight Muay Thai Champion and a certified Jeet Kune Do &
Filipino Martial Arts Instructor under Guro Dan Inosanto.

Her passion in martial arts and athletics is what guided her toward her current
profession as a stunt performer. She can be seen using her talents to enhance many
fight scenes and action sequences on shows and movies like Black Panther,
Avengers, Breaking In, Luke Cage, Blindspot, Quantico, Iron Fist, Mysteries of Laura,
Orange is the New Black, Bull and many others. She has even landed a SAG Awards
nomination along with the 2017 Urban Action Showcase Angels of Action award for
her work. Whether she is getting thrown threw glass, falling on a car, jumping off
roofs or kicking some serious super villain butt, Jénel will always have her active
background to rely on as she continues to make her mark on the entertainment
industry.
