Jonny Brugh

Jonny Brugh is best know as Deacon The Vampire from New Zealand cult comedy film What We Do In Shadows by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. Since then as Monty for 3 years on top rating Australian comedy drama- 800 Words.

As a comic for 25 years Jonny has numerous awards under his belt since his early days as half of legendary, multiple award winning, absurdist duo Sugar & Spice. Brugh enjoys his current comic duet with Shadows co-star Jackie van Beek entitled Flashdance. Jackie plays Deacon’s familiar in Shadows. Together they have produced award winning New Zealand comedy shows including their international hit live show My Brother and i are Pornstars and their award winning film The Gondola.

His latest Radio comedy is beside Jemaine Clement in Uncle Bertie’s Botanarium. His latest sketch comedy is in True Stories From The Water Cooler by Mike Minogue.
