A native of Ogden, Utah, Allred was born Ralph William Allred. He attended Ben Lomond High School, then graduated from the theater program at Weber State University, and did some graduate work at Penn State University. Bill fell into radio work by accident, starting with an overnight shift. He currently lives in downtown Salt Lake City with his wife. Bill is a fan of movies, having gone so far as to say that he would like to be able to see every movie that is released, even the really bad movies. Bill is a founding member of the Radio From Hell Morning Show, which originated in 1986.
