Jon Schnepp

Jon Schnepp is an American Director, Writer, Producer and Entertainer, working for Cartoon Network / Adult Swim, FX, MTV, Nickelodeon, SpikeTV, Magnet, Comedy Central and more. His latest project is the release of "The Death of "Superman Lives": What Happened?" A documentary about the proposed 1998 "Superman Lives" feature film that would have starred Nicolas Cage.

Schnepp started his career editing "Space Ghost: Coast to Coast" back before Adult Swim was Adult Swim. He then directed the Pilot and multiple segments for the now legendary Upright Citizens Brigade on Comedy Central.

After making all the backgrounds for the pilot of "Aqua Teen Hunger Force", Jon designed and created the band characters of Dethklok and then Adult Swim bought the show. Schnepp went on to direct 34 episodes and co-produce all four seasons of “Metalocalypse”. Jon directed most of the animated music videos for the Dethklok live concert tours, and co-plotted and did covers for the Dark Horse Comic Book Series “Metalocalypse-Dethklok”.

Jon has co-directed season 4.1 of “The Venture Bros".”, directed the Aqua Teen Hunger Force 3D Origin for the movie, co-directed two episodes of Marvel’s Black Panther, and wrote all three episodes for the Underworld animated series. Schnepp produced and directed a 6 episode animated web series for the band Avenged Sevenfold and Machinima called Hail to the King. He is one of the 26 International Directors picked for the feature film anthology called The ABCs of Death, with his segment “W is for WTF” being a high octane blend of Horror and Comedy.

Schnepp has run several successful Crowd-Funded Campaigns, producing, writing, and directing “Grimm Fairy Tales Animated”, and producing, writing, and directing a feature length documentary “The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?”, which is being digitally released worldwide on July 9th at www.tdoslwh.com.

Jon has done voiceover as “The Wisdom Cube” in ATHF, as “Dr.Gibbetz” in Metalocalypse, and acted as himself in the movie Comic-Con: Episode Four: A Fan’s Hope. Jon Schnepp has been co-hosting a very popular web series for the past two years called “AMC Movie Talk”, which won “Best News Series” in 2014 and “Best Live Series” in 2015 at the International Academy of Web Television, and now hosts the web shows “AMC Heroes” and “Sweaty Nerds” as well.
