Michael Golden is a comic artist and writer best known for his work on the The Micronauts, The Nam, Doctor Strange, and Marvel Fanfare,Doctor Strange as well as co-creating the characters Bucky O'Hare for Continuity Comics and Rogue for Marvel in the '80s.

After a career in commercial art, Golden made his way into comics in 1977, working on DC Comics titles like Batman #295 (first first comic work) with writer Gerry Conway, Batman Family, and Mister Miracle. His first work for Marvel was penciling the backup story in Marvel Classics Comics #28, "The Cask of Amontillado", based on the Edgar Allan Poe short story of the same name. In 1978, he became well known for his work on Marvel's The Micronauts alongside writer Bill Mantlo.

He drew many comics in the '70s and '80s, including Howard the Duck, Doctor Strange, and Marvel Fanfare. He co-created the character Rogue with Chris Claremont in The Avengers Annual #10 in 1981 and the series The 'Nam with Doug Murray in 1986.

In May of 1984, his character co-created with Larry Hama, Bucky O'Hare, debuted at Continuity Comics in Echo of Futurepast #1. The comic spawned an animated television series in 1991 as well as a Bucky O' Hare video game on the Nintendo Entertainment System and an arcade game developed by Konami.

In the early 1990s, Golden became an editor for DC Comics and then became Senior Art Director for Marvel Comics later in the decade. In the 2000s, he drew covers for Nightwing, Superman: The Man of Steel, and Vigilate.
