For centuries, the realm of Ashelon has been forced into dragon worship. But not everyone will bow to the will of the Draconian overlords. An ancient order of knights devoted to resisting the might of Draconia - known to their friends and foes as the "Slayers" - has formed a stronghold in the mountains of Fellcroft and seeks to bring down the Ashelonian regime. Troubled by the threat of losing her throne, Princess Veranna of Ashelon sends forth the disgraced Thane Arcturus on a quest to destroy the rebellion. But as the prophesy of the Starslayer begins to unfurl, and an ancient quest nears its completion, Arcturus soon finds himself caught in a chess game between Veranna, the dragon priests, orcs, witches, double agents, and the true heir to the throne of Ashelon...
