Garrick Hagon was born in London and moved to Canada with his family. He attended high school at UTS in Toronto and was a BA English Honours graduate at University of Toronto. For six seasons he was a member of Canada’s Stratford Shakespearean Festival Company where he was awarded a Tyrone Guthrie scholarship to study at the Royal Court Theatre in London. He has played in many theatres in England, at the Royal National Theatre and at Wyndham’s Theatre, London, as Chris Keller in Arthur Miller’s ‘All My Sons’. He has extensive television and radio credits in the UK and North America. His many films include: Antony and Cleopatra, Star Wars: A New Hope (as Biggs Darklighter), Batman and Cry Freedom, Spy Game. Recent films: The Current War, Black Book, La Vie En Rose, Is Anybody There? Me and Orson Welles, Red Lights and The Expatriate Television appearances include Fatherland, Henry V, Julius Caesar, Dr.Who, The Line of Beauty and Cambridge Spies. Stage appearances include plays at the Royal Court, Almeida and Royal National Theatre in London. He has appeared in numerous BBC radio plays, and was Simon Gerrard in The Archers. He has narrated or directed over 200 audiobooks and played Lee Scoresby in and directed the full cast audio production of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials.
