Marla Massey

I am a DFW based, but Houston born and raised, cosplayer and model. I am most widely known for my movie accurate Slave Leia and Rey. I have been involved with cosplay and modeling for the better part of the last 3 years. I was a theater major and have been acting my entire life, so cosplay seemed like a perfect transition from there to the real world 🙂 My love of nerd culture started at a young age when my father introduced me to Star Wars. From there, I was irreversibly hooked. From Spiderman, to Harry Potter, through Lord of the Rings, and back to my first love Star Wars, I have a deep connection to all things nerd.

In 2015 I was hired by Cosplay Against Bullying as a Cosplay Guest at Indy Pop Con (Indianapolis, IN) and by the 501st Diamond Garrison as a Cosplay Guest at Comi-Conway (Conway, AR).

In 2016 I have already been hired as a Cosplay Guest at Dallas Fan Days (Dallas, TX), Dallas Comic Show (Richardson, TX), Yellow City Comic Con (Amarillo, TX), Dallas Fan Expo (Dallas, TX), River City Comic Expo (Little Rock, AR), Comicpalooza (Houston, TX), Geekinomicon (Oklahoma City, OK), BAM Fest (Burleson, TX), Alamo City Comic Con (San Antonio, TX), Geek Fair (Shreveport, LA) and New York Comic Con (New York City, NY), North Texas Comic Book Show (Dallas, TX), The Rogue One Premiere, and Marvelous Nerd Years Eve (Dallas, TX).
