LONE STAR JOKER (Matthew James Edwards) is a local Dallas novelist, published playwright, and performance artist. Matthew has been involved in the entertainment industry most of his life in the areas of music, dance, theatre, film, and more. Whether teaching Jazz-Era social dances, returning to the stage as an actor, or costuming and choreography, he’s as comfortable in front of people as he is behind the scenes. Matthew’s best-known stage credit would be the role of THE JOKER in Next Wave Players’ stage adaptation of Alan Moore’s THE KILLING JOKE (2013 and 2016). It was this role that propelled him into the world of Cosplay and Comic Conventions. He’s not just a one trick pony, however. He’s also played the 10th Doctor multiple times onstage and at Cons, and has a new Riddler Cosplay, so keep an eye out for it. He’s thrilled to be a part of the event, and is excited to see what the next year has in store.
