Richard Hempton

Richard Hempton has been involved in the industry for over 30 years; acting, directing, and working steadily behind the camera. He trained at New York Conservatories AMDA and The New School and has been an active member of the Atlanta Film Community since 2003.

In addition to his work in front of the camera he is a grip and a member of IATSE 479. He is a writer and Producer with Grandline Creations and his company, In Our Image Productions, provides Grip and Electrical equipment and services to commercial clients such as Zebra, IMG, Direct TV, Volkswagen and Grey Media.

He also teaches a wide range of acting techniques but specializes in those that bring the actor to a greater awareness of their psycho-physical connection. The mind body connection is often overlooked in pursuit of "The Method" and Richard guides the actor back to a natural, moment to moment, character reactive state.

His students have booked roles on productions such as Baby Driver, Jumanji, The Young Pope, Stranger Things, Good Girls, The Haunting of Hill House, Atlanta, Containment, and Black Lightning. As a working actor himself, Richard currently can be seen as a recurring character on the IFC program Stan Against Evil.
