Marguerite Bennett is an American comic book writer. She has worked on Bombshells, Angela, Josie and the Pussycats, and her creator-owned book InSeXts. Her work has been recognized for her depiction of real female relationships. In 2016 and 2017 her representation of LGBTQ stories and characters had earned her a nomination for a GLAAD Media Award.
Bennett’s first exposure to comics was through Batman: The Animated Series at the age of 6. Her debut into comics began after Scott Snyder approached her to ask if she wanted to work with him on a Batman Annual, and after completing that she continued to work with DC where she wrote single issue stories for Lobo, Batgirl, and Talon. Marguerite also worked for Marvel Comics on single issue stories in the Amazing X-Men Annual, Death of Wolverine series, and Nightcrawler.
Her other work includes, Archie Comics’ New Riverdale relaunch, Joker’s Daughter, and Jungle Girl.
