Emma Caulfield

Anya Jenkins on Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Emma Caulfield is known for her memorable roles on some of the biggest television hits of the 1990s and 2000s.

She was first noticed by television fans for her role on the long-running Fox soap Beverly Hills 90210 as the girlfriend to Jason Priestley’s Brandon Walsh character, Susan Keats. Caulfield’s run on the series lasted for 30 episodes, and eventually led to her most famous recurring television role.

Fans of Joss Whedon’s beloved television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer will recognize Caulfield as demon known as Anyanka, who went by the human name Anya Jenkins. Anya, who had a predilection for wreaking havoc upon men who had wronged women, immediately connected with audiences so much that her role was expanded from a brief run to a long-standing regular, who even made an appearance in the much-lauded series finale.

Following the end of Buffy, Caulfield next landed her first major starring role in a feature film, with the 2003 horror hit, Darkness Falls.

Caulfield followed up the success with turns on shows such as Monk, Robot Chicken, Private Practice, Prime Suspect and Once Upon a Time, for which she received much praise for her turn as the Blind Witch from Hansel and Gretel.

Capitalizing on the wave of streaming Internet content, Caulfield made available the satire Bandwagon, as well as its 12-part sequel web series, on YouTube.

Just last year, Caulfield was cast as Cameron Chase in the CBS television series Supergirl, based on the DC Comics character. That same year, Caulfield returned to OUAT as the Blind Witch, as well as providing the voice of nurse Misty Windham in the web animated series Fantasy Hospital.
