Jessica Nigri stars as Cinder Fall on the Rooster Teeth animated series RWBY. She joins fellow RWBY voice actors Kara Eberle, Elizabeth Maxwell, and Arryn Zech at Planet Comicon Kansas City 2017.
Nigri began cosplaying in 2009. She has been an official spokesperson for several products including Lollipop Chainsaw and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Born in Reno, Nevada, Negri grew up in her mother’s home nation, New Zealand. Nigri’s cosplay fame began in 2009 when her cosplay of “Sexy Pikachu” at San Diego Comic-Con International went viral. In 2011, she promoted Gears of War 3 for Microsoft and GameStop by cosplaying as the game character Anya Stroud.
In 2012, Nigri won a contest to portray Juliet Starling, protagonist of Lollipop Chainsaw, and was hired as a spokesmodel by Warner Bros Games. In 2013, she portrayed the character Vivienne Squall from game Killer Is Dead. After a successful cosplay as Connor Kenway from Assassin’s Creed III, Nigri signed on with Ubisoft to portray a female version of Captain Edward Kenway, the protagonist of video game Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. She represented Tecmo Koei’s video game Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, cosplaying as Miss Monday at PAX 2013.
Nigri has been featured in YouTube shows such as KassemG and The Philip DeFranco Show. She has reported for media outlets such as GameZone, RUGGED TV, and Comic Book Therapy. She also starred in several commercial video advertisements and music videos, and did charity work.
