Calen Hoffman is a self taught artist, a new father of one and husband to an amazing wife. He loves creating things and has ever since he can remember and it often got him in trouble in school, growing up. Calen loves taking a pile of raw materials and creating tangible real-world replicas of the costumes and items we see in video games, movies, and comics. He also values inspiring others to be creative and do the same. It has always been something that has resonated with him and has become his passion and career. He has been creating art on a professional level for over 8 years now and considers himself extremely fortunate to be able to do it for a living and travel around the world sharing his work with others. He is most known for his full size costume of Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy and has won several costume competitions with it, including Planet Comicon 2015. He has also created life size costumes from games like Gears of War, Assassins Creed, Halo, Bioshock Infinite, along with other countless props and replicas. He also had the opportunity to create an entire set of "Groot inspired" original costumes for The Ferko String Band to use in their Mummers Parade performance in 2016.
