Welcome Cara Nicole, also known as AZ Powergirl, to the guest list of Planet Comicon Kansas City 2019. Cara will be at the show all three days, in Artists Alley near our Cosplay Showcase, though not in it, with her husband, artist Alfred Trujillo!! They will be Cosplay Showcase adjacent!



AZ Powergirl is more than a cosplayer, costume designer and model. She is a spokesperson, actress, comic book writer, editor, colorist, and was candidate for the State House of Representatives in Arizona. She is a world-wide cosplay sensation, who has pushed the limits of cosplay as an art form by creating books, appearing on national television, radio and print ads.



Cara is the model for Magic: The Gathering’s Emmara Tandris card (not many people can say that they are on a Magic card). And yes, Cara Nicole travels internationally to comic book, anime, pop- culture and other conventions. But with all of her success, she has not lost sight of her start in comics and still participates in as many local charity events as possible. Cara uses her experience as an elite cosplayer to teach panels on Cosplay Safety, The Business of Cosplay, as well as acting as a mentor to many newer costumers in the business. People say she is intellectual, humorous, and a pleasure to be around despite being a TOTAL DIVA!
