Michael Rooker is best known for his roles as Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy, Merle Dixon in The Walking Dead, Jared Svenning in Mallrats, Hal Tucker in Cliffhanger, Chick Gandil in Eight Men Out, Henry in Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Frank Bailey in Mississippi Burning, and Bill Broussard in JFK.
Rooker has also starred in dozens of other films, such as Sea of Love, Days of Thunder, Cliffhanger, Tombstone, Rosewood, The 6th Day, Slither, Jumper, Super, Slither, and Hypothermia.
Rooker is also known for his roles in video games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops (where he played himself), Vikke in Lollipop Chainsaw, Mike Harper in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Merle in The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, Scarface: The World is Yours, and The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay.
