WAR (World Autism Respect)

Though there are many organizations that advocate for autism awareness, we take it a step further in advocating for respect and acceptance of neurodiversity. In our organization’s first campaign, “Warriors Against Bullying,” we seek to educate both children and adult about the autism spectrum and what each individual can do as a warrior against bullying; we use superhero-like characters to illustrate in an engaging/fun way for all ages.

WAR's founder, Kayla King, studied Psychology and Criminal Justice at ODU while pursuing her passion for writing, music, and art. Kayla's fantasy book series, Wolf's WAR, inspired the creation of a real-world organization using the same acronym. Her mission in life is to make a difference in her time on this earth.
