Slaughter has held multiple wrestling titles, including the WWF World Heavyweight Champion, AWA America’s Championship, AWA British Empire Heavyweight Championship, NWA Central States Heavyweight Championship (3x), NWA Canadian Heavyweight Championship, NWA United States Heavyweight Championship (2x), NWA World Tag Team Championship, NWA United States Tag Team Championship.
Sgt. Slaughter was a member of G.I. Joe in the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy line, cartoon series and comic books. He is one of the cast members in the Camp WWE animated series/
He served in the United States Marine Corps, and was a drill instructor at Parris Island, South Carolina, prior to his professional wrestling career.
