William Wisher

Writer, Producer, Actor, William Wisher Jr. has become a respected name within the Hollywood community. In 1984, William jumped into the public eye when he became a contributing writer to the box office smash The Terminator (1984). Having launched his career, Wisher was recruited in 1988 by Universal TV to write the next installment of the Desperado franchise for TV release in the US. Desperado: The Outlaw Wars, released in October of 1989 to audiences throughout the United States. The film was well received amongst audiences and fans alike.

In 1991, following his success on The Terminator, Wisher co-wrote Terminator 2: Judgment Day with director James Cameron. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, the second film in the Terminator franchise became a massive box office hit, grossing over $500 million worldwide, and is still considered by most critics and fans to be the best installment of the franchise.

In 1995, Wisher wrote the screenplay adaptation of Judge Dredd, starring Sylvester Stallone. Based on the classic science fiction comic book series set in a dark and dystopian future. Wisher earned another screen writing credit when he wrote The 13th Warrior in 1998. The fantasy based film set in the dark ages starring Antonio Banderas and Diane Venora is a cult favorite with fans around the world.

In 2004, Wisher dove into the paranormal when he wrote the prequel for the Exorcist series. It may be the only time in film history when the same film was made twice with the same cast but two different directors and released separately. The films became Exorcist: the Beginning (2004) and Dominion: The Prequel to the Exorcist (2005).

In 2007, Wisher became an Executive Producer on the 4th Die Hard installment Live Free or Die Hard (2007). The film, starring Bruce Willis, was a box office smash, earning $383.00 million worldwide. Wisher has also appeared as an actor in several films, including The Terminator, T-2, and The Abyss.

Wisher is currently developing a television series, S.A.D. Boys, with producer, and former president of ABC Television, Steve McPherson, and film director John Moore. S.A.D. Boys explores the dark and treacherous world of CIA and NSA operatives. He has just completed production as writer and producer on I.T., a motion picture thriller starring Pierce Brosnan and directed by John Moore for Voltage Pictures. The film is set for release this spring.
