Jenny F. Kim

Jenny Kim is a Special Education teacher at Pioneer High School in San Jose. She has discovered that using comics in the classroom has increased student engagement and motivation. Comics have also helped to break down abstract literary concepts for struggling readers, as well as teach social cognition skills for students on the Autism Spectrum. Jenny is currently working on incorporating comics in curriculum addressing mental health issues, specifically using comics to teach self emotional regulation and coping skills.
