Vincent Vigil Jr joined the 501st in 2013 and has completed four sets of armor during this time. He makes a habit of choosing difficult to build costumes and finishes them to perfection. His currently approved costumes include an Empire Strikes Back stormtrooper, a Pre Vizla Bounty Hunter, a Force Awakens (TFA) stormtrooper, and Commander Wolffe from the animated series “The Clone Wars.” As well helped build his wife bounty hunter Boushh.
In addition to excelling at building armor, Vince is all about service to the community. Every June, he heads up the Golden Gate Garrison’s “Relay for Life” Team in American Canyon, as well as working on charity items for Breast Cancer and Make-A-Wish Foundation. His efforts embody the Legion’s mission of “Bad Guys Doing Good.”
Vince has served as the Garrison Merchandise Officer and continually astounds his fellow troopers with his fresh ideas and never-ending enthusiasm for patches. He took over as commanding officer of the garrison in March 2018.
His family has followed him on his Imperial mission. His wife, who costumes as the bounty hunter Boushh, serves as an Imperial Handler and leads the North Bay Squad. His daughter is an Imperial Officer and his son is a member of the garrison’s Imperial Cadet Program. When not out trooping or leading the garrison, Vince can be found in his workshop. He will be working on his next costume, or helping others with their creations.
