Adam Leipzig

Adam Leipzig is a producer, distributor and supervising executive on films that disrupt expectations, from March of the Penguins to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, from Dead Poets Society to Titus. His movies have won or been nominated for 10 Academy Awards, 11 BAFTA Awards, 2 Golden Globes, 2 Emmys, 2 Directors Guild Awards, 4 Sundance Awards and 4 Independent Spirit Awards. Adam is founder and CEO of Entertainment Media Partners; Senior Creative Advisor to CreativeFuture, a non-profit organization that advocates for the rights of creative communities; Publisher and Managing Editor of Cultural Weekly; faculty member at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business; and author of two books, Inside Track for Independent Filmmakers and Filmmaking in Action. He is the former President of National Geographic Films, and former Senior Vice President at Walt Disney Studios. Adam is working on his next media projects and his next book, which is designed to empower creative people to lead more sustainable lives. A Plastic Ocean is his 34th film.
