MIKE MACLEAN is an AZ local best known for writing the hit Syfy films Sharktopus, Piranhaconda, and Dinocroc vs. Supergator all produced by the legendary Roger Corman. Mike went on to write the Epix comedy Attack of the 50ft Cheerleader and the Sony military thriller Operation Rogue.

Recently, Mike leaped into the comic book world collaborating with Lady Death creator Brian Pulido. Under the Coffin Comics banner, Mike has co-written the graphic novels Lady Death: Damnation Game, Zack the Zombie Exterminator, and La Muerta, a gritty revenge tale. Mike continues to contribute to future Coffin Comics titles.

In addition to writing for film and comics, Mike has published numerous short stories, mostly in the hardboiled crime genre. His short fiction can be found in The Best American Mystery Stories, ThugLit, Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine, and Kaiju Rising: Age of Monsters.
