Batman is 78 years old. 78 years old! If he were real (What? He’s not real?), he would be well into retirement. Considering that most professional athletes are done by their mid-thirties, is it unusual to think that a superhero - who ages like the rest of us - would be able to compete with younger, stronger super-villains by the time they reach forty? Superpowerless is a feature film that discusses these concepts. It tells the story of Bob, a.k.a. Captain Truth, a super strong, flying superhero who loses his powers when he turns forty. Now he’s just Bob, and it takes some getting used to. This panel will focus on the idea of the middle-aged superhero (old and new), showing clips and sharing stories (and giving out prizes) from the film Superpowerless which will be available on Video-on-Demand on October 10th, and on subscription streaming services (Netflix, Amazon, etc) in December... Because lurking behind every fan-boy, is a fan-man waiting to emerge. Panel includes the director and writers of the film Superpowerless.
